15 Avoid it, (The Path of the Wicked) do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way. Proverbs 4

Some things we should AVOID according to the wisdom in Proverbs.

14 Do not set foot on the path of the wicked
    or walk in the way of evildoers.
15 Avoid it, (The Path of the Wicked) do not travel on it;
    turn from it and go on your way.
16 For they cannot rest until they do evil;
    they are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble. Proverbs 4

There are people we should not walk with if we want God’s will for our lives, even some within the Body and our places of worship!

12 Mockers resent correction,
    so they avoid the wise. Proverbs 15

Some people do not want to receive wise counsel. Derek Prince said God only speaks to those who are teachable.

Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for;
    through the fear of the Lord evil is avoided. Proverbs 16

Bobby Connor said recently that the greatest need in the Church in America today is the Fear of the Lord.

17 The highway of the upright avoids evil;
    those who guard their ways preserve their lives. Proverbs 16

God has given us all free will, the power to choose. We must learn to guard what He has given us so we can receive all the more He has for us. There’s always more for the children of the King.

It is to one’s honour to avoid strife,
    but every fool is quick to quarrel. Proverbs 20

Mrs Robin Bullock while preaching once said, ‘we should avoid strife like a snake’ and never allow it into our homes or churches. Good advice.

19 A gossip betrays a confidence;
    so avoid anyone who talks too much. Proverbs 20

Again, ‘anyone’ includes people within the Church and not just those outside. Sadly it is a fact that church gatherings may be more ‘talking shops’ than places where people seek to come into the Lord’s presence.

May the Lord bless and keep you today. Immanuel, God is with us.
