9 She pleased him and won his Favour. (Also means Kindness or Loving Kindness) Esther 2
15 When the turn came for Esther (the young woman Mordecai had adopted, the daughter of his uncle Abihail) to go to the king, she asked for nothing other than what Hegai, the king’s eunuch who was in charge of the harem, suggested. And Esther won the Favour of everyone who saw her. Esther 2
17 Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his FAVOUR AND APPROVAL MORE THAN ANY OF THE OTHER VIRGINS. SO HE SET A ROYAL CROWN ON HER HEAD AND MADE HER QUEEN INSTEAD OF VASHTI. Esther 2
The King’s Favourite, that’s you and I! He loves us deeply and wants to share His Kingdom with us. Amen
Hadassah, Esther’s Hebrew Name, is linked with the myrtle tree which infers peace, love and prosperity. It’s Hebrew root also suggests Righteousness.
The earlier Queen, Vashti, was also very beautiful to look at, Esther 1:11, but she rebelled at the King’s command and was banished. God had prepared Esther as Vashti’s successor, two queens but with very different destinies.
The Bible teaches that at the end of this Age there will be two Churches, one will be a harlot (False Church with a Religious Appearance) and the other will be the bride of the King, King Jesus. We celebrate the coming to earth of the Christ child during the Christmas season, but that’s not the end. The Marriage of the Lamb and The True Bride is still to come forth.
Queen Esther, had to risk her life for the sake of God’s people in exile. We the Church are in exile on this earth today and subjected to many trials and pressures, but as we remain true to the Lord, we will see a mighty deliverance and a blessed future. That’s the destiny OF ALL WHO LOVE THE LORD AND OBEY HIM.
God bless and keep you today. Immanuel, God is with us.
