The two and a half tribes already possessed the land on the east side of the Jordan River. God had enabled Israel to conquered the kings/rulers of this land and these tribes had asked Moses to give it to them as their inheritance. God wants to give His people REST, but REST only came to Israel after their enemies had been conquered.

Psalm 91 is a well known psalm which many people quote daily, claiming God’s protection for themselves and their loved ones. (We declare Psalm 91 and Ephesians 6 daily) This powerful psalm states at the very outset that there is a place of Rest for those who dwell/abide with the Lord.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
WILL REST IN THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91

Jane Hamon said God spoke to her in prayer and said, ‘chaos will increase in the earth’. She wasn’t thrilled with that but then He also said, ‘the chaos would be useful in destroying hidden plans of the enemy and causing things done in darkness to come to light’. Thirdly God said, ‘the God of peace is rising, the God of peace is rising, the God of peace is rising’, which comes from Romans 16:20. (Quoted from, Confronting the Thief, Page 60, published 2024, by Jane Hamon)

‘The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.’ Romans 16:20, NASB

We must realise that increasing chaos doesn’t mean the enemy is winning, but is a sign of the clash of two kingdoms, light and darkness, and that God is fighting for and with us to crush our enemies, just as He did for Israel.

“When we walk in God‘s peace, it releases a power that destroys the authority of chaos over our lives. When we pray, God rises as the God of peace and crushes Satan under His feet. God was telling me that this was going to be a time of spiritual war, But the result would be victory over chaos and the expansion of the kingdom of God in the Earth”. Jane Hamon, Confronting the Thief, Page 62

Israel fought their enemies, conquered Canaan and lived there worshipping the Lord. The Church has come to a similar time on the earth today.

May the Lord bless and keep you today. Immanuel, God is with us.
