9 So on that day Moses swore to me, “The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children for ever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.”

So on that day Moses swore to me, “The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children for ever, BECAUSE YOU HAVE FOLLOWED THE LORD MY GOD WHOLEHEARTEDLY.” Joshua 14

AND WILL NOT GOD BRING ABOUT JUSTICE FOR HIS CHOSEN ONES, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, WILL HE FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?’ Luke 18

Even at the end of time on this earth when the Lord returns He will still be looking for Faith in His people! Caleb was a man marked by his faith in God. Despite the giants in the land and the negative reports of ten of the spies who went with him, Caleb stood firm in his belief that God would keep His Word and give Israel the land He’d promised to the Patriarchs.

10 ‘Now then, just as the Lord promised, he has kept me alive for forty-five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved about in the wilderness. So here I am today, eighty-five years old! 11 I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then. 12 Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, THE LORD HELPING ME, I WILL DRIVE THEM OUT JUST AS HE SAID.’

13 Then Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave him Hebron as his inheritance. Joshua 14

Caleb held on to the words God had spoken to him, he never forgot God’s promise to him and both he and his family line inherited the land.

We said yesterday to hold onto that which God has promised us. Declare it and remind Him of His promises to us for He will surely bring them to pass, no matter how long the wait.

13 In accordance with the Lord’s command to him, Joshua gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh a portion in Judah – Kiriath Arba, that is, Hebron. (Arba was the forefather of Anak.) … 16 And Caleb said, ‘I will give my daughter Aksah in marriage to the man who attacks and captures Kiriath Sepher.’ 17 Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb’s brother, took it; so Caleb gave his daughter Aksah to him in marriage. Joshua 15

God is faithful to those who follow Him WHOLEHEARTEDLY. Don’t give up, He wants the best for His children and keeps His promises.

May the Lord bless and keep you. Immanuel, God is with us.
