25 I was young and now I am old,
YET I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE RIGHTEOUS FORSAKEN
OR THEIR CHILDREN BEGGING BREAD (Even in Famine).
26 They are always generous and lend freely;
their children will be blessed. (others will see that their children are blessed) Psalm37
Israel/Jacob began to move with all he had to the safe place that God had provided through Joseph, his long estranged son. He moved with all his possessions and all his family.
8 These are the names of the sons of Israel (Jacob and his descendants) who went to Egypt:
Reuben the firstborn of Jacob.
9 The sons of Reuben:
Hanok, Pallu, Hezron and Karmi. Genesis 46:8-27
Every son and daughter of Israel is noted in turn under the Mothers who bore them. Every individual who was one of the forefathers of the coming nation of Israel is recorded for future generations. (Stephen was prompted to speak of this great transition in Acts 7, before his martyrdom)
29 Joseph had his chariot made ready and went to Goshen to meet his father Israel. As soon as Joseph appeared before him, he threw his arms around his father and wept for a long time.
30 Israel said to Joseph, “Now I am ready to die, since I have seen for myself that you are still alive.”
Joseph, the accomplished ruler of all Egypt under Pharaoh, was greatly affected by the reunion with his father. Leaders have hearts and feelings like all of us!
Then Joseph introduced his father to Pharaoh and he asked Jacob his age.
9 And Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty. My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the years of the pilgrimage of my fathers.” Genesis 47
Some day in heaven we’ll look back on our lives and see the good times and not so good times, Jacob had fled to his uncle Laban after he’d cheated his brother Esau. Now he’d had to leave the Land of Promise and go down to Egypt.
11 So Joseph settled his father and his brothers in Egypt and gave them property in the BEST PART OF THE LAND, the district of Rameses, as Pharaoh directed. 12 Joseph also provided his father and his brothers and all his father’s household with food, ACCORDING TO THE NUMBER OF THEIR CHILDREN. (Joseph PROVIDED ALL THEY NEEDED, NO POOR AMONG THEM)
May God bless and keep you today.

38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6
