May we Rejoice in God’s goodness today. 2 Chronicles 6:41

Even in the Old Testament, under Law, God was known as a God of Love. Don’t let the enemy deceive you into believing He won’t forgive your failures – He always does if we sincerely repent (Turn away from).

He said: ‘O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth – YOU WHO KEEP YOUR COVENANT OF LOVE with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way. 2 Chronicles 6:14

Eternal God of Israel, You are unparalleled among the gods of heaven and earth. You honor Your covenants with Your servants and GIVE LIMITLESS LOYAL LOVE (limitless loyal love) to those who faithfully follow You. 2 Chronicles 6:14 VOICE

This was part of Solomon’s Prayer of Dedication at the newly built Temple in Jerusalem, which was received by God on behalf of the people when His Glory came down.

When we read on in the chapter we see Solomon was kneeling down on a bronze platform, interceding for God’s mercy upon Israel WHEN, NOT IF,  they sinned. Solomon knew Israel would need God’s Forgiveness, over and over again – we all do.

We are God’s Temple today, His Spirit LIVES IN US!

DEFEATS – 24 ‘When your people Israel have been defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you and when they turn back and give praise to your name, praying and making supplication before you in this temple, 25 then hear from heaven and FORGIVE the sin of your people … and bring them back to the land you gave them. (Restore Your People) 2 Chronicles 6

DROUGHT – 26 ‘When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your people have sinned against you, and when they pray towards this place and give praise to your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them, 27 then hear from heaven and FORGIVE the sin of your servants, 2 Chronicles 6

DISEASE & DISASTER – 28 ‘When famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when enemies besiege them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come, 29 and when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among your people Israel … 30 then hear from heaven, your dwelling-place. FORGIVE, and deal with everyone according to all they do, since you know their hearts (for you alone know the human heart),

DISTANT PEOPLE – 32 ‘As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm – when they come and pray towards this temple, 33 then hear from heaven, your dwelling-place. Do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that ALL the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you,

DANGER, WAR – When Your people go to war against their enemies… then hear from heaven their prayer and uphold their cause. 2 Chronicles 6:34
